Does your life have a peak moment? Or perhaps you have many peaks, as Mary Quicke, a cheesemaker in Devon, England suggests in Shelf Life.


One dark and snowy winter night in Maine, we gathered 26 participants who viewed the film at the Waldo Theater to engage in an unusual cheese tasting. Each participant had a personal cheese board that they used to express their life in cheese. Cheese was more than food that night as it became an expression of highs and lows, and life transformations. Thanks to local cheese makers for sharing their cheeses and for the room full of storytellers who now see both cheese and their life stories from a different perspective.
